Gene food

There's a new player in the food industry...Nutrigenomics is the science of how food and ingested nutrients affect genes especially those related to disease prevention.

Nutrigenomics is related to personalized nutrition, since claims are being made that differences in genotype should result in differences in the diet and health relationship.

For consumers to have the assurances they need that their food are not GM, they must be provided with lots of information, guarantees of privacy, have a degree of self-knowledge (about their family history and their environment), and the technology to choose the right foods. The Institute for the Future termed this information "the currency of personalised nutrition".
